dimit is a dick

today, had some breakfast at mcduff's, then hopped on the freeway to head out to malibu. there was basically a mushroom cloud ahead that spelled d-i-s-a-s-t-e-r. turns out there was another gnarly fire in malibu, so we headed up the two- to check out horseflats. it was cold, and again i was unprepared. it was difficult to find stuff, i actually only did one problem, and ariel and I hiked alot, alot-alot. we got to the summit of this mountain, after hiking for over an hour straight and decided to head back towards the car, and see what we could find taking a different route. nothing. horseflats turned into a very long enduring hike. we didnt have any directions or a guidebook. but ariel was laughing the whole time at my quiet frustration, and it ended up being a pretty cool time, being a pretty hike in and of itself. we weren't satisfied without climbing, so we went to stoney point for a couple of hours--in reference to the title-we witnessed local strong man dimitrius crank through this traverse he recently put up on the b1 boulder, he rates it v10, alot of hype has been cultivated recently regarding the line- through word of mouth at stoney and online in forums--so that was interesting, it looks like a tough climb, not contrived, with some very powerful moves that can only be executed with very sequential technique. that was pretty cool to see. we did some problems, left at dusk, and then grabbed some dinner at wahib's, my favorite restaurant, the best greek food period.
